I got my first guitar when I was about six years old. My older brother taught me some chords, after which I forgot about it for a decade. In between I played some other instruments but those never clicked.
During the last years of the 1980s I got interested in blues and bluesrock. Decided to buy a cheap guitar and a small solid state Vox amp and learned my first scales. I started to play with a friend, bought a better amp and later a used Gibson S1 and decided I needed to practice more.
During the 90s I broadened my musical interests, played in differen bands, which all gravitated towards metal. In the late 90s I stopped playing because of... Well, life.
Around 2004 I picked up playing again. Started to play in bands again and kept doing that until the pandemic. Since then I mostly play and record at home. Being past 50 years old now makes it difficult to find like minded musicians. I don't want to play rockstar and I really hate playing in cover bands, so I'll continue to create my own things.
